Description: After a night of partying, Chris is involved in an early morning car accident on the way to work. A child, Zach, is injured and his mother Katrina blames Chris, although Chris is sure Katrina came through a red light and hit her. The evidence from the scene of the crash is ambiguous and doesn't support Chris' version of events.

When Zach is diagnosed with nerve damage that will affect his ability to walk, Chris is devastated. She hadn’t slept and her reaction times were down. Was it really all her fault? That night she's unable to sleep.

Meanwhile, Angie’s relationship with Sean Hunter continues to develop. She goes to Harris with the suggestion that they bring Hunter on board as a profiler on a murder investigation. When Harris fobs her off she goes to Chatterley.

Chris doggedly pursues every lead she can to prove her innocence. She visits Zach in hospital and tries to ascertain whether or not he can confirm Katrina ran the red light. Chris finds that Zach hasn't even been told the extent of his injuries. Katrina interrupts before Chris can question Zach and tells Chris not to talk to him.

Harris is put on the back foot when he learns Hunter will be working with them on the murder investigation. Hunter says nothing about the fact that he has already met Harris under an assumed name - pretending to be a troubled dentist. Later Hunter seeks Harris out and tries to smooth the waters.

Still unable to sleep at all, Chris nevertheless eventually finds additional evidence which leads to a witness. He agrees to testify that she was in the right. However, during a checkup at the hospital she becomes aware of concerns regarding Zach's symptoms. Why does Katrina not insist on a second opinion? Suspicions about the truth of Zach's condition result in Sophie going undercover unauthorised, into the surgery of Doctor Roche - Zach's specialist.

Meanwhile Angie and Hunter take their relationship to the next level. Harris, fully aware of what is going on, is powerless to stop it.

When it becomes clear that Roche is agreeable to instigating medical fraud, Chris is compelled to go to Harris with her suspicions. Finally getting authorisation to conduct a legal sting on Roche, Chris gets evidence that confirms Roche and Katrina exaggerated the extent of Zach's injuries to get a large compensation payout. It's something Roche has done before - he's a serial scammer. Katrina and Roche are brought to justice and Chris can finally relax.

Harris stays late wading through files on the murder case and comes across some shocking evidence. Both murder victims were patients of Sean Hunter.
