Description: Flynn has hooked up with part-time crim Ash and finds himself involved in a hit on a large Liquor Store. The job goes horribly wrong when the gang are confronted by an off-duty policeman, Adam Kennedy. One of the masked gang shoots Adam Kennedy dead and Flynn is left with a lot of explaining to do. One of the first at the scene is Head of Armed Rob, Geoff Skinner, a highly decorated and respected cop who makes it plain he wants to be informed of all developments in the case.

While a taskforce is set up to investigate the shooting Undercover get the go-ahead to pursue the gang via Flynn’s contact, Ash. Flynn meets up with Ash who takes him to the home of gang member Drew Price. Too late, Price is dead. It appears he’s topped himself, though Harris isn’t convinced. Flynn locates the fourth member of the gang, Frenchie Lafayette and arranges a split-up of the money. Ash is shot during the arrest but Frenchie is taken into custody. The investigation takes a new turn when Frenchie reveals that the gang was paying a man called The Walrus for protection. He implies that The Walrus is a cop.

Megan, who has defended Geoff Skinner to her colleagues, warns Skinner that Harris is after The Walrus. We discover that Skinner is Megan’s mentor, a man she greatly admires. It is through him that she learnt that the best way to beat crims is to join them. Skinner asks Megan to help him set up Bryan Gray to take the fall as The Walrus. Meanwhile Gray has been digging into old cases and discovers that Skinner alibied Price in a previous armed rob case. When Ballistics concludes that Price’s gun was used to shoot Kennedy and Price is assumed to be the shooter, Skinner is keen to get the Liquor Store robbery back under his wing. But Harris’s antennae are up - he is increasingly convinced that Skinner is The Walrus - he just needs the evidence to prove it.

Price’s son, Chad turns up, determined to avenge the shooting of his father. He and Frenchie are certain Price didn’t commit suicide. Harris’s discovery of an incriminating photograph confirms this and conclusively links Skinner with Price. Aware that Harris is getting close to identifying The Walrus, Megan seduces Harris and discovers that he’s planning to set a trap for Skinner.

Megan faces a terrible dilemma. Does she warn Skinner and implicate herself or does she let him walk into Harris’s trap? Using Chad as bait, Harris gets the evidence he needs on Skinner and arrests him for murder and corruption. Megan cleverly manages to come through this with Skinner believing she’s remained loyal. But when she’s alone we see how much it’s cost her as she sobs in Church’s arms.

Meanwhile Katherine is experiencing a major depressive bipolar episode. Tired, depressed, unfocused she is clearly not on top of her job and a concerned Harris notices. When he finds her in the carpark in tears she finally admits maybe it’s time for that medication. Harris takes her home and an evening of wine, tears and laughter over shared bipolar stories leads to an even more intimate situation when Katherine gets into Harris’s bed. Politely, but firmly, he tells her to get out. Harris and Katherine both have to confront the fact that at this time it is impossible for them to be family for each other. A wrenching farewell sees Katherine leave for a posting in WA. Harris is left shattered. For the second time in his life he has lost his daughter.
