Description: Church is in the middle of investigating Ethan Stein - major drug importer - with the help of informant Wilkie. Wilkie has arranged a meeting between them but Church is stunned to find that Stein is married to Anna Trukan. Extricating himself quickly, Church is reluctant to continue with the investigation. If Anna was to see him, the case would be blown and Church would be in danger.

Reg Masters isn't interested in excuses. His senior officer, Megan Walsh has gone to a lot of trouble to set up this sting. It's her informant that Church has been using and Masters doesn't want to miss out on the opportunity of a big success against a major crim.

When Church goes further in his dealings with Stein however, Anna complicates matters by seeing him. Although she doesn't betray Church, she meets with him and lets him know in no uncertain terms that she doesn't want the police harassing her husband. She tells Church Stein is a good man who took her in and took care of her. She doesn't want him ruined. Church is torn by conflicting feelings for Anna but nevertheless pursues the investigation.

Getting himself into a tricky situation with Stein, it's Megan who comes to his aid. Harris begins to realise what an asset Megan would be to undercover. When he asks her to join however, she politely declines.

When Wilkie is killed by Stein, Church realises the stakes are very high, but is committed now to bringing him down. He's amazed however when he uncovers evidence that Anna is actively involved in his business! Bringing Anna in for questioning, Church pressures her and makes her provide him with information that will lead to the seizing of the cocaine shipment and the arrest of Stein.

When Church meets with Anna however, Stein is there. It seems he's been set up and that Anna has betrayed him. Stein sends Anna away and is determined to kill Church.

In the aftermath Megan is again offered a job with the Undercover Unit and this time she accepts - much to the displeasure of Reg Masters.

Anna is forcibly deported back to Poland by the authorities and Church is upset to see that she will be sedated before being dragged onto the plane.

As Megan stops off at a pub on the way to dinner with Church, she takes a mysterious envelope from the barman. A Payoff? There's clearly more to Megan than meets the eye.

Media Release: Former McLeod’s Daughters star Lisa Chappell makes her debut appearance in Stingers this week as the glamorous Det Con Megan Walsh. Church first meets Megan while working on a case involving a major drug importer by the name of Ethan Stein. Kate Kendall, who plays Angie Piper, says she and her fellow castmates are thoroughly enjoying acting with Lisa. “Lisa has been wonderful to work with,” Kate enthuses.

Bad timeslot, good episode. And finally a storyline for Church (Peter Phelps) to be more than just a thug in the background. We're back to this tricky relationship with Russian lady Anna (Annika Glac), whom he almost married so she could get so she could get a visa. Tonight, when Church is hunting down a drug importer he meets Anna - now married to the drug lord. Will Anna blow his cover?

Watch for: new cast member Lisa Chappell shedding her bland McLeod's Daughters image.
