Here's an original storyline for you...not. Pedophiles are using internet chat rooms to find their young victims. It has all been done before and done better, although another airing of the potential threat at least serves as some kind of communtiy service reminder about safe surfing. Perhaps this would have worked better as a Law and Order style program. Church and his mates use a young friend to go online and arrange a meeting with the alleged sex offender. But just how would a public prosecutor defend claims of entrapment? Or argue against compensation claims of a man wrongly accused of such a crime? At least the courtroom antics would add something new to the story. And just how do they call on the cops to give evidence and keep their undercover status? Unfortunately, with a push this season to writing about the cops' personal lives, the series is falling into the soap rather than drama category.
