The horrors of heroin addiction are pulled sharply into focus in this episode that highlights Stingers' knack of capturing the less glamorous side of crime. While investigating a heroin racket, Church comes across a familiar face, a nephew, Matt (Sullivan Stapleton), who is trapped in the cycle of addiction. Once again, Church appears to be bending all the rules as he tries to help his nephew go could turkey and keeps tabs on the pushers. Scenes of daylight drug deals in Smith St, Fitzroy, are all too real in an episode marked by performances.
