REBECCA GIBNEY AS CRIMINAL BARRISTER INGRID BURTON

Ingrid first appeared in early 2002, assisting in the case involving Oscar Stone's killer. Though she believed that her client was not guilty of the murder, he 'got away' much to Peter Church's anger. It first appeared that Burton and Church were not the best of friends, but things delevoped during the 2002, and ended up in bed together.

Ingrid also served a case agaist Christina Dichiera prior to her joining the unit in trafficing, and found it strange that she was part of the unit, following her shaddy history.

Following the end of Season 6 (2002), Ingrid has been seen to have been kidnapped by Oscar Stone's killer (Conrad), though he was shot dead by Stig Enquest, the unit will have to use what they have to find her, hopefully alive. She was found alive, but didn't trust Pete from then, after she believed he left her for dead, not trying to look for her.

Ingrid went back to work for Stig, but later on believed that he wanted to kill her. In return, she transferred money to an offshore account, and flew out of Australia, never to be seen again, and to the sadness of Church. In return, she left Church with all the required information to put Stig away, while Church supplied her with fake passports.
